Animation Workshop

As you can see from the photos the children have been engrossed in the animation workshop this afternoon. This is just a familiarisation session - to enable the children to understand the basic principles of animation and the software Zu3D, before they work on more complex animations throughout the rest of the term.

Next week the children will be adding title credits and music to their animations.

Here are three of our first animation projects.

Our first attempts at animation

This is the first group animation. Josh, Josh and Alfie very quickly grapsed the idea using Zu3D which uses 'onion skinning' to see the previous frame, allowing for a smoother animation.

Inspired by Good Hope

This term we have explored poems from around the world. We read the poem "Good Hope" by Benjamin Zephaniah. This poem made us think and we used the poem as inspiration for our own poems of Good Hope.

We have written and recorded some on our blog to share.

We hope you enjoy their messages.

Good Hope

I believe
that everybody
is good at something.

I believe
children don't have to
cry for water.

I believe
we can live
without bullying.

I believe
we can live
without greediness and nastiness.

If I did not belive
I would stop hoping.

I know every day
someone dies
from unsafe water.

I hope
that growers and suppliers
of drugs can be stopped.
